I probably need to write another post to clarify. Yes, the best course of action would be to call AL Power, and good luck. I think you can expect the 4% escalation to be in the new lease, as well. So you might find it&#039;s a trade off for you.]]></description>

This is interesting news about the APCo change of policy.  Especially interesting since they have not notified the current leasees like me.  I have two lots, one built on, and they have not sent any notification at all.  They started an option to extend the lease to 30 years about 3 years ago, but you had to agree to a minimum 4%/yr escalation in rent based on CPI.  I&#039;ll call Candy Hayes in Clanton and see what I can find out.
