Here is my Twitter Account – please click “follow” if you already have a Twitter account. If you don’t, it’s easy and free to set one up.
Why would I want to follow John on Twitter?
Because it will give you more information in an easy to use, or easy to ignore format.
What kind of news or information?
1. Sneak peaks at breaking news about Lake Martin. Sometimes it’s easier to “tweet” something because I can update it from my cell phone instead of being in my office to do a blog post.
2. Great links about national real estate related news. I don’t want to bog down my blog with too much national news, but for folks that want more info on things that affect Lake Martin in a more indirect way, I will post links for further reading, in the spirit of extra points in high school.
3. If you’re into texting, you can set up “mobile updates” which will text you whenever I update my account by texting a new tweet. Or you can just choose to view it on the web. Most of the people / news agencies I follow, I view them on the web only. A couple I have opted in for mobile updates.
4. Pics / humor – Occasionally when I am driving around Lake Martin I run into something odd or interesting. I can snap a pic on my cell phone and update it. Like the other day, both lanes of hwy 50 were shut down while someone was moving a house trailer. Or I might catch a deer swimming. Anything to give you a flavor of “the life.” You can check out the lower right sidebar on my blog for examples of what I tweet.
“Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”
Most bloggers, news agencies, and / or football sportswriters that you know and love already have twitter accounts. Probably a lot of your friends do, too.
