Provenance is described as a record of ownership of a work of art or an antique, used as a guide to authenticity or quality. Earlier this summer I witnessed a type of provenance that involved a Lake Martin real estate sale and it was awesome.
It is pretty rare that both the buyers and the sellers are at the closing table these days. When the closing took place for this Lake Martin home both were present. It was really nice because the sellers were able to talk about the home itself. Not only how all of the things work in the house and on the property (electrical switches, irrigation system, boatlift etc.) but how much they enjoyed the home, how much they loved their neighbors and how they experienced that side of the lake.
It was really fun for me as someone who helped the sellers find this house and to see them passing it on to another family. The sellers took this home to another level of quality, and it was really gratifying to be a part of the story.
