True or False? The Lake Martin waterfront home sales are on track to have the fewest number of homes sales in ten years.

Let’s take a look at some numbers. In September 2021 Lake Martin had 33 home sales. There were 22 waterfront homes sold in September 2022. So like a lot of the nation we are seeing a cooling in our sales at Lake Martin.

Inventory is trending up – in September we had 119 waterfront homes for sale compared to last year, 92. Our five-year average is 180.

Waterfront lot sales at the end of September 2021 was 17 and at the end of September 2022 was 24. So lot sales are up 41% for Lake Martin.

So if you guessed False to my question above – DING DING, you are correct! We are still in a seller’s market but the market is slowing down.
