Who gets to come to a Lake Martin home inspection?

For a home inspection at Lake Martin, you may be wondering about who gets to come to the inspection. First, you need to hire an inspector that you trust. That is an assumption that you have to make. 

Sellers

Also, for a home inspection at Lake Martin, it is best that sellers do not come to the inspection. This is because you do not want to appear to be trying to influence the inspector in any way. Let the buyers have their time. Let them inspect whatever they want to inspect. 

Buyers

If you are a buyer and want to come to the home inspection, then that is great. However, be sure to talk to your inspector ahead of time to make sure that he or she knows you’re coming. If you do decide to come to the inspection make sure you don’t follow them around or ask them a million questions the whole time.

They’re going to have a report that they will give to you at the end, so give them time to do their job and to inspect. This is because you want them to be focused on the house when they are there.

Agents

Also, some people ask if the agents are going to be there for the home inspection. Usually, I’d say that listing agents almost never come to an inspection.

On the buying side, the agent sometimes comes. Therefore, you have to help them get in and out of the house. Similarly, if I’m on the buying side at a home inspection, I’m trying to stay well out of the way. If they need me, then they can ask some questions. However, usually you won’t. Let the inspector do their job, and let them be focused on the home. At the end, there’ll be a time for questions.
