The reason you hire a dock company at Lake Martin is because things are just different here. If you had your buddy built your last deck or you made a rabbit cage for your five year old, that’s fine.  But your buddy doesn’t have the tools required for big dock jobs or the knowledge of how structure interacts with the lake.  Let the professionals handle this.
