Aerial video of Lake Martin real estate is a “killer app” around here.
Do you remember the early days of the web, when tech companies were after the next “killer app” aka a really groundbreaking application? Email was a killer app for businesses. It killed the fax machine almost instantly.
I believe strongly in aerial videos for Lake Martin waterfront property, whether we are talking homes, lots, condos, whatever. It is simply one of the best ways to show off your property. In the old days (read – pre DJI Phantom’s drones) I would have to climb up on a ladder or elevate my camera on a painter’s pole. Why? Because 99% of Lake Martin homes are uphill from their dock, and it looks really crappy to shoot a pic of them at a sharp upward angle.
A lake home looks the best when media is taken from the same level, and the most important facade of a home at Lake Martin is…. you guessed it…. the lake side. The only way to get up high enough to get that best angle is with drones.
That’s why I put so much time and money in to getting professional grade aerial photos and video as part of the services I provide for my sellers.
For example, I listed a beautiful home at 219 Ridgeview Point in the Ridge neighborhood. It was tucked away from the big waves and big water but in a great location.
It would be tempting for a lazy agent to stroll down to the dock, look back up towards the home, pop a couple of pics with their iPhone, and be done with it.
But would that be the best effort for the seller? Would it show the home’s features or mask them?
Part of the value that I try to bring each of my sellers is quality media, but also the willingness to spend time and money to keep learning how to improve. When I first started selling real estate, only the Air Force flew drones.
But now these tools are available to us all.
If you own a home, lot, or condo at Lake Martin and are considering selling, and this approach resonates with you, would you please reach out and let me know?
