It’s now fall on Lake Martin, and that means it’s one of the best times to go hiking! Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail Association in Dadeville, AL, has a reputation for having some of the best quality trails in Central Alabama. CRATA has over 26 miles of hiking trails. The new fire tower at CRATA will be near The Overlook, which is right by Martin Dam. If you’re looking down Kowaliga Bay towards the Kowaliga Bridge, then you can already see the construction of the tower. CRATA is building this new fire tower, but they need your help. They need all of our help for contributions to make this thing happen.
If you’re familiar with the Smith Mountain Fire Tower that is one of the coolest spots around Lake Martin, and this one going up at Cherokee Ridge is going to be even bigger.
