Join Lake Martin’s Young Professionals for this year’s Polar Plunge on January 18th! This event is presented by LakeScape and will be held at Kowaliga Restaurant. The doors will open at 10 AM, followed by the plunge at 12 PM, and the event ending at 4 PM.
Lake Martin’s Polar Plunge is an annual event that offers so much fun for everyone! In addition to the plunge, there will be food trucks and live music. Kowaliga’s bar will also be open and serving drinks.
It costs $15 to do the plunge and enjoy all of the things available to the attendees. If you don’t want to participate in the plunge but still want to enjoy everything else this event has to offer, then they have $20 tickets available for you.
The great thing about Lake Martin’s Polar Plunge is that it helps support Lake Martin Resource Association‘s mission of keeping the lake clean, safe and prosperous. Also, attendees can take part in the Costume Contest that will have a $100 cash prize going to the best costume. In addition to that, there will be the Dash for the Cash which is a short race to a floating buoy and back to the shoreline. There will be a $100 prize for that winner as well.
As a disclosure, I am one of those weirdos that has a cold plunge tub at home (don’t worry, I won’t go on and on about it unless you ask). So not only is this a great fundraiser for the worthy cause of LMRA, but it’s healthy too (just don’t stay in too long!). I don’t know if I will be Plunging or not, but I wanted to help spread the word.
So, don’t miss out on the fun! To purchase tickets for Lake Martin’s Polar Plunge, you can visit the link here. They will also be selling tickets at the door the day of the event.
Make sure to download my Lake Martin Voice App. That way you can keep up with all of Lake Martin’s upcoming events. This is a free app that is regularly updated with fun events as well as information on restaurants and marinas.
