The Heritage at Lake Martin: Waterfront Living at Its Best

The Heritage at Lake Martin is a residential waterfront neighborhood located in the central area of the lake. It’s one of the newest developments by developer Russell Lands. 

By land, this neighborhood is close to Willow Point which is one of Russell Lands’s first developments. However, by water, Willow Point is all the way around the lake. You have to go under Kowaliga Bridge to get to it. 

The Heritage is also located near the new Wicker Point Golf and Country Club. So, if you’re a golfer this neighborhood is a great choice. Visit the link here to learn more about Wicker Point.

Covenants and Amenities of The Heritage

The Heritage neighborhood has similar covenants to other Russell Lands’s neighborhoods such as you can’t have a covered boat dock, you have an Architectural Review Committee that approves your plans and the style of your home, you have approved builders, and you can’t split the lot. 

The Benjamin Club is going to be for the residents of The Heritage. Therefore, the neighborhood will have separate amenities that are totally separate from the golf course. 

The Heritage Location

The Heritage is located on a new area of the lake for Russell Lands that is known as Young’s Basin. It’s similar to a lot of neighborhoods in that some of the lots have big huge views and some of them have slough views. Typical Heritage lots are pretty woodsy and relatively flat. Therefore, there are great areas to walk in the neighborhood. 

A lot of people ask me about boat driving time. If you’re in The Heritage in your boat, then it’s probably about 5 minutes to Peanut Point which is a big landmark. It’s probably a 20 minute drive to the Chimney Rock area, because you have to go south and go around The Ridge. You can also go north and go to the River North Marina, Boondocks at Bay Pine, and Wind Creek.
