I’m happy to report that 390 Hickory Drive has now sold. Congratulations to my seller clients on a successful closing!
One of the things I love most about a lake house like 390 Hickory Drive is how much of your kids growing up you can watch from the back deck. You can watch them catch their first fish, figure out how to paddleboard, and then eventually learn how to drive a Sea-Doo.

I think the water might be the best feature of this lake house. There’s a lot of open water right in front of 390 Hickory Drive, which means you don’t have to load everybody into the boat and go looking for a place to ski or tube.
So while the kids are out there wearing themselves out, you can sit back on the porch and relax while still being part of everything that’s going on. That’s something I really like about this property. You can enjoy watching all the activity on the water without having to leave the house.
Another important part of the waterfront at 390 Hickory Drive is the big new dock. And that matters on Lake Martin because a good dock gives you a lot more ways to use your waterfront. You’ve got room for the boats, the Sea-Doos, swimming, hanging out, and just enjoying being at the lake.
The home itself takes advantage of the water views pretty well, too. On the street level, you’ve got the kitchen and main living areas, with Lake Martin providing the backdrop. I like that because when everybody comes inside, you don’t really lose the reason why you’re there.
Down on the lake level, the home has more of a guest suite setup, which I think is really useful in a lake house. When family and friends come for the weekend, they can have a little space of their own. That way, everybody doesn’t feel like they have to be in the main living area all the time.
Another thing I like about 390 Hickory Drive is where it sits on Lake Martin. When you do want to leave the house, you’ve got quite a few popular places nearby. By boat, you’re convenient to Chuck’s, The Landing at Harbor Pointe, Chimney Rock, and more.
By car, you’re also close to restaurants like Niffer’s, Oskar’s Cafe, and the new Lake Martin Beach Club. That gives you several options when you want to head out for something to eat or spend some time away from the house. Of course, with that much water right in front of the property, there’s plenty to do without going anywhere.
390 Hickory Drive had a convenient location, a big new dock, a layout that worked well for family and friends, and some really impressive Lake Martin views.
Now that 390 Hickory Drive has sold, I want to congratulate my seller clients again on the successful closing. I appreciate the opportunity to help them with the sale of this Lake Martin waterfront home. It’s always interesting to see how different properties take advantage of their particular spot on the lake.
