Kennebec is the newest waterfront home community on Lake Martin, and I am blessed to be the listing agent on these waterfront lots. The lots have big views and deep water and are located in the popular south side of the lake, just east of Martin Dam.
The answer to the question “what is the minimum square footage” highlights one of the unique things about Kennebec. Whereas many neighborhoods might require waterfront lot owners to build at least a specific sized home, the Design Guidelines, “allow a more human scale,” according to Jason Dunham of Nequette Architecture & Design. Jason is Kennebec’s Project architect and does a great job in the above video explaining this concept.
Dunham also explains that Kennebec will be a Lake Martin community that respects the land and allows the properties to, “grow over time as your needs might change” instead of being boxy and fixed.
He also hints at the heart of Kennebec’s design, that they don’t want it to feel like a, “Suburban imposition on the lake where large, massive structures are kind of dropped into the landscape. We want smaller, human scaled buildings to grow out of the landscape.”
Does this sound like the kind of Lake Martin home you would like? I would be glad to talk to you about the remaining lots available for sale at Kennebec. Please call me at the number at the top of the page or CONTACT ME with this form.
If you have more architectural questions about Kennebec, I would be glad to direct you to Jason or anyone else on the Nequette team that may help you realize your vision!
