The annual Renew Our Rivers cleanup of the Lake Martin shoreline and area roadways for 2019 is scheduled for Friday, November 1st and Saturday November 2nd.
According to Lake Magazine’s recent article more than 450 volunteers collected nearly 20 tons of trash in 2018 with more than 100 tons of trash removed since the event began in 2005. That is a whole lot of trash folks!
Volunteers can pick up supplies at dumpster locations beginning at 8AM on Friday and Saturday. Trash can be deposited in the dumpsters between 8AM-12PM on both days with volunteers from the Lake Martin Resource Association (LMRA) available to help with unloading boats or vehicles.
