390 Hickory Drive on Lake Martin is Pending
390 Hickory Drive is now pending on Lake Martin! I’m excited for my sellers as we move on to the next step. We listed this Lake Martin waterfront home at $1,199,000. It didn’t take long for a buyer to see what made this place special. Of course, I think a lot of that starts with the water.
Big Water Makes a Difference
When I first walked around 390 Hickory Drive, I kept coming back to the big water right in front of the house. This isn’t just a good view of Lake Martin. There’s also room to ski, tube, ride the Sea-Doo, do all the lake things. You can do all of that without loading everybody into the boat and going somewhere else.
That might sound like a small distinction until you’ve owned a lake house for a while. Eventually, you realize that making things easy usually means you use them more, whether that’s jumping off the dock for a quick swim or taking one more ski run before dinner. At 390 Hickory Drive, the lake is right there waiting on you.
A Place to Watch the Kids Grow Up
That’s why the thought I kept having while marketing this house was, “You could watch your kids grow up here.” First they’re catching little fish off the dock or trying to stand up on a paddleboard, and a few summers later they’re learning how to ski. Then somehow they’re big enough to crank up the Sea-Doo by themselves, and you wonder when exactly that happened.
The neat part about this house is that a lot of those moments can happen while you’re sitting right there on the porch. You don’t necessarily know which lake days your kids are going to remember twenty years from now, and usually they aren’t the ones you tried to plan. More often, they’re just ordinary afternoons that didn’t seem quite so important at the time.

The big new dock was another part of 390 Hickory Drive that stood out to me. It gives you room for boats, Sea-Doos, and swimming.
I also think docks are something people can underestimate when they’re thinking about the value of Lake Martin real estate. Kitchens and bathrooms matter, but a really good dock and waterfront setup can change the way you use a lake house every single day.
A Lake House That Works for a Crowd
The two-story layout at 390 Hickory Drive also makes sense for weekends when everybody shows up. The upstairs street level has the kitchen and main living spaces with those big water views. The downstairs is the lake level, putting you closer to the dock and waterfront. That gives people room to spread out without feeling disconnected from everything happening at the lake.

Hopefully there are a lot of fish caught, skis learned, Maui Mat battles fought, and long afternoons spent on that dock in the years ahead. That’s a pretty good future for a lake house.
