Yes! Gus’s Hot Dogs at Lake Martin has opened! Gus’s is a Birmingham tradition – it was opened in 1947 by Gus Alexander, a Greek immigrant. Welcome to the Lake Martin food scene!

Here are some pics – unfortunately Caroline inhaled her burger before I could get a picture, but she said it was really good as were her fries. John was adventurous and tried the fried bologna sandwich after he finished his Gus dog.  Service was friendly and everything was made to order even allowing me to substitute/modify my dog.  Pepsi and Golden Flake products to accompany entrees.  We’ll be back for more dogs  and burgers
