Lake Martin Beach Club is Now Open!

Lake Martin has a new restaurant on the water. It’s called Lake Martin Beach Club, and it’s awesome. I’m excited to tell you about where it is, what they serve, and how to get there. CLICK HERE to visit their Facebook page.

First Impressions

We stopped by on their first night open. They had all hands on deck and even had a little band playing. The place had a fun atmosphere from the start.

What We Ordered

Their signature drink is the Lake Martin Painkiller. Honestly, I couldn’t get through more than a sip because, hey, I’m working and I take this stuff seriously. I’m an IPA guy, so I had a Good People IPA instead.

We had the flatbread, the wings, and the catfish finger basket. Everything was good, and we enjoyed it. The food actually came out really fast, which surprised me on opening night.

The wings were especially tasty. One comment at the table was, “That’s the best wings I’ve had all day.” The Ranch Water was also very good and refreshing with the right amount of alcohol, ice, and mixers.

A Little History

People like me always want to know what used to be there. Over the years, lots of things have been in this location. About twelve years ago it was a barbecue place, and later Castelluccio’s Italian restaurant spent some time here too.

I think one of the first YouTube videos I ever made was at the old barbecue place. It was really grainy because I think I shot it with a Sony Hi8 camera or something like that. This location has seen a lot of history over the years.

Where It Is

You probably recognize the building because it sits right on Highway 49. It’s right by Blue Creek Marina and close to Blue Creek Bridge. The restaurant sits between Niffer’s and Oskar’s on one of the busiest restaurant stretches on Lake Martin.

It’s also right by Creekside Lodge if you know the hotel. If you’re wondering about nearby neighborhoods, it’s very close to Magnolia Cove and StillWaters. That makes it easy to reach whether you’re staying nearby or just passing through.

Can You Get There By Boat?

A lot of people ask if you can get there by boat. The answer is technically yes, but Highway 49 Bridge is a low bridge. Check your clearance before you come because it might be tight depending on your boat.

I used to get under that bridge with my old boat. We weren’t sure if a pontoon would fit unless you dropped the bimini, but it might work. Somebody even joked that letting a little air out of the pontoons might help.

Worth the Trip

The food was great, the drinks were good, and the service impressed us. That’s saying something because this was their very first night open. I think we’ll definitely come back again.
