Questions about docks are near the top of the list of questions I hear as a realtor at Lake Martin.

A huge feature of a boat dock on the lake is a boat lift. Some areas at Lake Martin do not allow a covered boat lift; some do. Some that don’t are The Ridge and Windermere, both Russell Lands developments.

So if a covered boat lift is not allowed what are your options? Obviously an uncovered one such as the one pictured at the top of this page.

Is a new boat lift – covered or uncovered –  worth a big investment if I am thinking of selling my waterfront property at Lake Martin?
