One of the most beloved spring traditions near Lake Martin is coming back in a big way. The Old 280 Boogie is celebrating its 25th anniversary on April 18 and 19, 2026, at Standard Deluxe in Waverly, Alabama. For a quarter century, this festival has brought together music, art, food, and Southern culture in a setting that feels more like a gathering of friends than a typical concert.
If you’ve never been, it’s hard to explain just how special it is. Standard Deluxe isn’t some massive commercial venue. It’s an intimate outdoor space surrounded by trees, where you bring your lawn chair, settle in, and let the weekend unfold.
This year’s lineup reflects exactly what the Boogie has always done well — bringing in authentic artists with real roots and energy.
Saturday’s performers include Shovels & Rope, Cedric Burnside, Billy Allen + The Pollies, The Pine Hill Haints, and Abe Partridge. Sunday continues with Band of Heathens, The Heavy Heavy, Taylor Hunnicutt, Corey Harris and Cedric Watson, and The Last Jimenez.
The music starts late morning each day and runs into the evening, giving you a full day to relax, explore, and enjoy.
What makes the Old 280 Boogie stand out is that it’s not just about the music. It’s a full cultural experience. There’s local art, food vendors, and a crowd that appreciates the slower, more meaningful side of Southern living. It’s also been recognized as one of Alabama’s top events, even earning a spot as a Top 10 event not to miss by Alabama Tourism.
Kids 12 and under get in free, and the event remains intentionally simple with general admission lawn seating. Bring a chair, find your spot, and stay awhile.
For Lake Martin homeowners and visitors, the Old 280 Boogie is an easy addition to a spring weekend at the lake. It’s about an hour drive, making it perfect for heading over in the morning and returning to the lake that evening.
Events like this are part of what makes the Lake Martin area so special. You’re not just buying property here. You’re buying into a lifestyle filled with unique traditions, live music, and memorable weekends.
