Christmas Lights at Lake Martin

Are you wondering where you can see Christmas lights at Lake Martin? In this blog, I’m going to give you a couple of spots to go to and a couple of activities that you might not know about all around the lake.

Bear Lodge Christmas Display

One great Christmas lights tour at Lake Martin by land is down on the south side of the lake on the Kowaliga side off of Andrews Mill Road. It’s called Bear Lodge. To get there, you will want to drive down where Highway 50 and Highway 229 meet right off of Andrews Mill Road.

Bear Lodge has a great display that you can drive through. All you have to do is dial your radio to their station and enjoy the drive through amazing Christmas lights.

The Halloween House Holiday Transformation

Another great place to see Christmas lights is by water. There is a great display of Christmas lights down in the section of Lake Martin near Goat Island and kind of near Lake Martin Dam. These lights are at the Halloween House. 

This place decks it out for Halloween. If you’re ever around the lake for Halloween, go down there and see them then, too. But, they have Christmas lights up, and you have to go by water. 

Also, remember that we’re at our our normal winter draw down. So, you need to be careful. There are islands that will pop up that you might not know about even if you’re familiar with the lake. 

Eclectic Ministry Christmas Lights

A tradition that not a lot of people know about is the Eclectic Christmas event. This is on the Eclectic side and is to the south of Lake Martin about five or six miles. This event takes place out at a local farm. A ministry puts this on, and it’s a live Christmas play. 

Unfortunately, the event dates for this year have already passed, but I wanted to mention it here so that you can know about it for next year. It is really cool, and it’s outdoors. You walk through the fields, and they reenact the Christmas story for you. 

My family and I have done this many times. It’s really cool. You do have to walk outdoors, so be prepared for that. Make sure to make reservations next year! 

Pennington Park in Dadeville

If you’re near downtown Dadeville, then Pennington Park always has great displays of Christmas lights. It’s on the northeast side of Lake Martin. It’s really fun, and you can drive by the park to see the lights.

Also, while you’re in Dadeville, check out downtown because it’s always got great lights there as well. Pick up coffee or eat, because it’s a great spot just to tour through.
