My wife’s family is making an unprecedented week long trip to Lake Martin this summer. These are Florida folks, and half of them live on the gulf, so getting them here is cause for much excitement. And since they’re staying for a week, we get to enjoy the quiet that comes with weekdays on Lake Martin.
BUT, because it is quieter during the beginning of the work week, not all businesses and restaurants are open. If you’re here on a Monday or Tuesday, you’d better check each restaurant’s hours before you shuttle your guests there, by boat or by car. Each one is a little different.

I hesitate to post this info because I get a lot of calls from folks reading my blog who think I AM Chucks’s Marina and want to place a pizza order, or homeowners who want to report a power outage because I’ve blogged about Alabama Power. My kids think it’s funny, but I really want to save you a phone call. I’m just a Realtor. I’m giving you the number of each place so you can call and double check before you go. And if the restaurant does not answer, please don’t call and let me know.
