Run for a Good Cause at Russell Forest Run on Lake Martin

Looking for something fun to do that’s for a good cause? The Russell Forest Run is an event happening on February 22nd that will help raise money for schools on the Alexander City side of Lake Martin.

Russell Forest Run is an annual event that benefits the Alexander City Schools Education Foundation. Since the start of this run 15 years ago, Russell has been able to donate close to $133,000 to the foundation.

The primary goal of ACSEF is to support programs and technology that is needed in Alexander City schools. Some of these programs include the recent additions of foreign language and fine arts programs as well as the addition of tutors.

The Russell Forest Run will be held at Russell Crossroads in Alexander City, Alabama. While attending this event, the runners will be able to run either a 10k or 5k and experience the beautiful views that Lake Martin has to offer.
